Description
The Milky Way in and around the constellation Cygnus. The North America nebula is the prominent reddish area left of center. This is a film image (Kodak Supra 400). Two images, a 30 minute + a 45 minute exposure, combined. Taken using a 50mm lens piggybacked on my wedge-mounted LX200, at Cherry Springs State Park in Pennsylvania. The Veil Nebula, a supernova remnant, is faintly visible near the bottom of the image.

45 minute exposure! i understand why it has to be this way but it's still amazing that it it actually came out clean.
